Gentle Exfoliation & Deep Hydration Care
Formulated with black rice, black soybean, and plant-derived PDRN, this ampoule gently removes dead skin cells while delivering intense hydration and nutrition. Its ampoule texture provides a smooth, refreshing finish, leaving the skin clear, supple, and radiant — even for sensitive skin.
Soft Peeling with Moisture-Rich Comfort
This mild peeling ampoule removes built-up dead skin and impurities without harshness or dryness. The black rice–based formula gently dissolves rough skin texture, leaving a smooth, polished complexion that feels refreshed and hydrated. Ideal for those who struggle with dullness, roughness, or patchy makeup application.
Intensive Hydration with Dense Ampoule Texture
This ampoule envelops the skin in a moisture barrier immediately after exfoliation. Its rich ampoule texture deeply infuses hydration while locking in moisture to maintain softness and elasticity throughout the day.
Low-Irritation Formula Tested for Sensitive Skin
Clinically tested to be non-irritating, the Black Rice Peeling Ampoule is gentle enough for daily use. Free from harsh acids or scrubbing particles, it helps minimize irritation while restoring balance to sensitive and stressed skin. The soothing base ensures that even after peeling, the skin barrier remains calm, comfortable, and protected.
Triple Nutrition Complex
A powerful combination of Black Rice Extract, Black Soybean Seed Water, and Plant-derived PDRN delivers triple-action nourishment — refining skin texture, improving elasticity, and enhancing luminosity. This trio restores vitality to dull, fatigued skin, promoting a healthier, plumper complexion over time.
Black Rice Extract
Known as a “super grain,” black rice is rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins — potent antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental stress. It helps refine rough texture, improve tone, and boost radiance for visibly smoother and brighter skin.
Black Soybean Seed Water
Packed with isoflavones, amino acids, and essential fatty acids, black soybean deeply nourishes the skin while strengthening its natural barrier. It enhances elasticity and firmness, keeping the skin soft, resilient, and well-moisturized.
Plant-Derived PDRN (from Rice)
A natural skin-regenerating ingredient extracted from rice. PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) helps improve cell turnover, promote elasticity, and strengthen the skin barrier. It supports smoother texture and enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture, giving a firm, youthful look.
Soybean Oil Complex
A blend of fermented soy-based oils that deliver emollient hydration and nutrients. This complex smooths the skin surface, reinforces the barrier, and helps maintain long-lasting moisture while leaving no greasiness.
Rice Seed Water
Hydrates and replenishes skin from within, offering a soothing balance of moisture and nutrients. It enhances absorption and boosts the skin’s clarity and natural glow.

The applicator is terrible. It doesn’t gather or it doesn’t release when you squeeze the drop.I literally had to use the whole bottle to tap it on my hand so it can come out. Then it doesn’t feel like it’s exfoliating anything.I did purchase this with my money so I will finish the bottle..regardless but maybe it will work for someone else.
This is a fabulous and effective peeling wash off ampoule comparable to the very popular Dr. melaxin black rice peel shot ampoule. The Mixsoon one is 100ml while that one is 80ml, for the same price. It's a steal when it's on sale too! This particular black rice version is to only be used 2-3 times per week vs. the white rice version which can be be used daily. It is meant to target blackheads, clogged pores and more heavily uneven texture. It's still super gentle for a peel!! I have very sensitive combo skin with uneven texture due to healing pimple scars etc and using this left my skin smoother after one use. I'm excited to use it regularly!!It's wildly satisfying to feel the ampoule's cellulost ball up as it picks up dead skin etc. It rinses off easily and is unscented (hooray!!!).There are some solid ingredients included that are soothing and nourishing like allantoin, panthenol, ferments, beneficial botanical extracts and plant based PDRN.You only need a dropperful per use and if you only use it a couple times per week, the 100ml will last a long time!! All in all, this is a great product to add to my routine. I recommend it!
I have come to really like mixsoon products, and overall I was impressed by the Black Rice Peeling Ampoule. This is a physical exfoliant that balls up when applied to the skin; as someone with sensitive skin and rosacea, I was a little nervous about how this product would work for my skin and if I would be able to tolerate it. I can use it, with a few caveats: one, I don't use this more than 2-3 times a week and never two days in a row and two, I do develop some skin blotchiness after use. It's not a rash; my cheeks just look blotchy and a little red. That disappears by the next morning (I only use this product at night). However, I will also note that I use this product on my chin, and I have never experienced any blotchiness there. My rosacea is concentrated around my nose and on my cheeks, and I'm sure that's why my cheeks get a little blotchy. Because of this, I have not used this product on or around my nose and do not intend to. It works so well on my chin, though! My chin is the place where my skin has the roughest texture, and this product really takes care of that. Using it makes my chin very smooth and soft. My cheeks also feel very soft after use (they always feel smooth, so that isn't any different).I want to try to white rice version of this product, because I have red it is a bit more gentle than the black rice. However, I do enjoy using this product! It's effective without being overly harsh on my sensitive skin.
I got both the black and white rice exfoliation ampoule from Mixsoon. From what I understand about these type of peeling rice ampoules the white is gentler and can be used every day and the black is a little more aggressive and should be used weekly. I showed a picture of the ingredients of both in my photos. The ampoule is soft and pleasant to use but does feel a little bit more drying than the white. So far I’m really pleased with the texture and feel of this ampoule, particularly in the winter when I need to use products that aren’t quite as drying as I the ones I use in the summer. I will stick to doing the white ampoule 2 times a week and the black only once or when my skin needs a little deeper exfoliation.
This Black Rice Peeling Ampoule- Black Rice Exfoliant from Mixsoon is advertised as being a gentle exfoliating product which is why I ordered it. The product comes boxed with a security sticker and the glass bottle inside uses a long dropper top for applying it.Considering that it contains black rice I was not overly concerned by the dark color of the product, or the thickness of it. One is meant to apply the ampoule to the entire face then massage it around for a minute or two. Doing this causes the product to pill and makes it seem as if all those teeny, tiny balls are dead skin coming off the face but they are really just the cellulose forming pills due to the friction. Not to say that it's not removing dead skin cells and clearing pores, but perhaps not as effectively or aggressively as it might seem. Regardless, my dry and dehydrated skin also suffers from rosacea and my rosacea does not give this product a thumbs up. It's a really nice formulation really, with some excellent ingredients for giving a fresh and clarified look to the complexion, but sadly it is not for me. As a rule I don't actually "massage" my skin because it just causes it to flush and look irritated. This product does contain some excellent soothing ingredients like cica, panthenol and allantoin, but I'm afraid that for my skin they are not enough to offset the exfoliating ingredients. Even so, it looks to be a great option for those with less sensitive and less dry skin. Currently this peeling ampoule is selling for $40. At 3.4oz it is offering a good quantity, and it also contains some pricey fermented ingredients along with other botanicals, so I do think the price is reasonable even if the product doesn't work for me.
This review is for mixsoon Black Rice Peeling Ampoule, which is made in Korea. This peeling ampoule is MESSY so it lost a star for that. It lost a second star for being very difficult to pump out of the bottle. I love Mixsoon but this product is just difficult to work with. The pump is long and the product is thick so I’m not sure if that is the problem, but I squeeze the pump multiple times and barely get it to suck up any product. The product goes on the skin a bit watery but you can feel a fine grit in it. This means it is a physical exfoliant, which I do not love. As you massage it on the skin it forms these globs of product and (I’m assuming) dead skin. These then clump up in the skink and just leave a mess everywhere. I’m not sure this should go down the sink and possibly lead to clogs later so it then becomes an issue to wipe it up with paper towels. The product itself does leave the skin feeling smoother even after one use, which is typical for a physical exfoliant. I do like that but the difficulty of getting it out of the bottle and the subsequent mess made me not love this Mixsoon product like I love their other offerings. It also does not tell you WHEN to use this product? Are you supposed to use it before a cleanser or after? I cleansed my face first and then used this but when I washed off the globs of product it left a residue on my face so I had to cleanse again. At a price of $40.00 for 3.38 oz, I think it is a good value for the money, it is just sadly not something for someone like me.
When you apply this, it immediately starts to ball up on itself to look like dead skin. It's not, it's the product itself. Massaging those little chunks all over your face is what's doing the exfoliating (which you won't really see). It did make my face feel a little softer, but at 3.38 oz for $40, there's no way I'd buy this. There are tons of similar options on Amazon for $10-20. There's nothing about this that is premium other than the price - it even comes in a plastic bottle rather than glass.
This Mixsoon peeling ampoule is amazing! Definitely not something to use daily, but as an occasional gentle exfoliating treatment, it works beautifully. I can actually feel the light exfoliation, and it leaves my skin smooth and refreshed without irritation.I really love this brand, they consistently make high-quality products, and this one is no exception. The bottle size is great and lasts a long time, especially since you only need to use it a couple of times a week.Overall, another win from mixsoon! My skin loves it. 💙
I received both the White Rice and Black Rice versions of this exfoliating ampoule from mixsoon. The Black Rice seems to have a softer physical exfoliant in it, which I think I slightly prefer because I'm nervous about physical exfoliants causing skin damage. There is no notable scent to this ampoule, which I used after cleansing but before toner since the instructions say it needs to be rinsed off, which makes sense because of the physical exfoliant particles. I used both the White and Black in the same skincare routine when I tested them, and my skin was extremely smooth afterwards, so they seem to be very effective, although I'm not sure that you're really supposed to use both in a single routine. They are made in Korea, which has high standards for manufacturing and ingredients in cosmetics.
The Mixsoon Black Rice Peeling Ampoule really impressed me. While peeling gels are nothing new in Korean and Japanese skincare (in fact I had a very similar type of exfoliants in my 20s where you massage in and things just roll off your face), this one sets itself apart with a more refined formula. The inclusion of black rice, soybean, and PDRN gives it an edge over the usual basic exfoliating gels, adding nourishment instead of relying solely on the “peeling” effect. I mean, how awesome is that! The little bits that form while massaging are simply part of the gel activating -- nothing scary, nothing extreme, just the product doing what peeling gels are designed to do. Unlike the harsh flaking that comes from overusing strong actives, this is gentle, controlled, and soothing.I tend to get dry patches and sensitivity when I layer too many actives, and this ampoule has become my go-to rescue step. It smooths away rough texture without scratching, burning, or tightening my skin. After rinsing, my face feels soft, relaxed, comfortable, not stripped, and perfectly ready for moisturizer or even makeup. The texture surprised me in the best way -- it’s slightly thicker than a watery serum, spreads easily, and absorbs without any stickiness. There’s no noticeable scent, and a tiny amount covers a large area, so the bottle will last a long time. My skin always looks fresher and brighter the next morning.Because this is the stronger version than the white rice peeling ampoule, I only use it two or three times a week, not only am I skipping other ingredients that could exfoliate, but also stopped all the other exfoliants other than Mixsoon White Rice Peeling Exfoliant. Sometimes it’s more than enough on its own. For daily use, I’d definitely choose something lighter, but for deeper exfoliation that still feels kind to the skin, this is perfect.Overall it leaves my skin incredibly smooth, helps makeup apply flawlessly, and keeps my complexion balanced and hydrated. A great formula, decent price, and super gentle results -- another win from Mixsoon.
I love this peeling ampoule obsession that has hit the Korean skincare scene lately and recently had the chance to try mixsoon’s Black Rice Peeling Ampoule recently. This peeling ampoule contains great ingredients like Plant-Derived PDRN, Black Rice Extract, Black Soybean Seed Water. It comes in a nice glass bottle with a dropper lid for easy distribution and contains a generous amount of product at 3.38 ounces. Considering that products like these are not intended for daily use but more like weekly use, this bottle will last a very long time. This is easy to use: apply a dropper full into your hands and massage into dry facial skip. Work in circles and feel the dead skin cells and other build up ball up on your fingers. Rinse with warm water, and you’re done! I like to exfoliate until I don’t feel anymore exfoliating happening - this is probably around 1 minute. In my experience, using products like this too often damages my skin barrier and dries my skin out so I am careful to limit use. I love how much dead skin this removed in a short amount of time. After drying, my facial skin felt balanced, hydrated, incredibly soft and clean. Just as awesome, my face looked radiant and had a nice k-beauty glow! I did not have any adverse reactions at all. This ampoule is very lightweight and watery in texture, as I would expect. I love that it is tested to ensure low skin irritation, and designed for all skin types, and contains a ton of great botanical extracts! I love this peeling ampoule and am so happy to get to use it. I think this is very giftable and perfect for anyone who loves k-beauty. Mixsoon is a great brand that you can feel confident about using. $40 for one bottle may feel like the price is high, but considering the quality, effectiveness and how long one bottle will last, I think it’s actually very reasonably priced. I highly recommend!
This is a pretty nice peeling exfoliate for your skin. Directions are simple and clear on the back, you really don’t need that much as a little goes a long way. At least your skin feeling very soft though I would recommend using a facial moisturizer afterwards, to keep everything well hydrated. It does strip the oil from your face. Price is pretty decent, it comes in a dark plastic bottle. I don’t know why I assumed it be glass, but it was not plastic not really a fan of that but other than that, I’m pretty happy with it.
I absolutely love Mixsoon products and have been happy with the quality of everything I’ve tried from them. And the list of products of theirs I’ve used is quite long. So I had high hopes for this peel but I’m thinking it’s not the best fit for my skin. The bottle is pretty sizable so that was nice to see. Between the price and the size of the bottle I think it’s a good deal, especially since it’s from a trusted and beloved company. The peel itself is slightly slick but easy to spread. As it’s massaged into the skin it start to “pill” and pulls dead skin cells and gunk from pores with it. It’s not an exfoliating peel so it’s kind to the skin and isn’t abrasive. My skin is getting much more delicate which age and I’m finding exfoliating products I used to use now just cause irritation. I just can’t use anything with abrasive scrubs anymore so a product like this is really perfect, in theory. The ingredients in this are top notch like with all Mixsoon products. For some reason though I found this drying to my skin. I have other similar peels which have not caused this drying so I’m a little surprised. I do however have very dry skin so I need products that are extra gentle or are extra moisturizing and perhaps this one just doesn’t offer the extra hydration I need.Still, I think it’s a quality product that works as promised and probably would be suitable for those with normal more resilient skin but a little too drying for my aging skin. It could be that my skin is struggling currently and more sensitive to dehydration since I’ve been feeling unwell. I’m going to wait a little a give this a few more tries before coming to a final conclusion. They do offer a pink version of this which I think might be more gentle and made for more frequent use. Maybe that’s the one I should have tried.
I submitted this to Yuka and it came back 72 Good, I wasn't too concerned with the two PEG derivatives in it, because this is only something I will you once to twice a week and it doesn't stay on the skin. This is very much like the Koh Gen Doh Gomage I used to get at Barneys New York. Its a gel texture that you massage into your clean skin and it just starts balling off your surface dead skin.. The KGD one I use to use never once irritated my sensitive skin, and this one didn't last night either. I first patch tested and then used all over. My skin looks and feels great. Interestingly because this one is dark grey and I am lighter skinned, it was cool to be able to see the contrast in the product vs the color of my skin coming off. You could never tell with the KGD gomage.
I am loving this exfoliant! Mixsoon has such great products. This is a very, very gentle exfoliant. It did not irritate my skin whatsoever, and is not at all abrasive or harsh. This is black in color, and a thin consistency that's easy to smooth over the skin. I massage this into my skin and then rinse. This leaves my skin very smooth and soft= perfect base for putting on makeup!
I was so excited to try this product because I had tried one by a different manufacturer and it was phenomenal. It peeled away a lot dead skin and there was no burning and dryness. This product did not rub anything off like the demo and made my skin very dry and tight feeling. I had assumed this product would be better because it was more expensive and the demo showed exactly what I wanted, but the results were different.
I really like the exfoliator itself. It works just as described and I’m happy with the product overall. My only complaint is the suction/dropper piece—it doesn’t work very well. I usually have to physically shake the product out of the bottle just to dispense it, which can be a little frustrating. If the packaging were improved, this would be a much better experience. The actual product itself works great!
