Trusted clean brand, good ingredients

First of all, I really like and trust the mixsoon label. I think they make quality products that are effective and safe to use for an affordable price tag. When I got this cream, I had already been using other retinal products for a few months, so my skin was already used to retinoids and didn’t require the gradual introduction to this strong active ingredient. Even so, I did start out using it every other day just on the areas of my skin with fine lines to be on the safe side. After about a week of using with no adverse effects at all, I increased my use to every day in those same areas. At no point have I experienced any sort of skin burning or irritation or dryness or flakiness of the skin. This cream feels pleasant going on and absorbs in fully and quickly, allowing a little to go a long way due to its spreadability. The cream is almost an identical color to the yellow tube it comes in. My skin feels well moisturized after application too. While I cannot say I’ve noticed any changes in the areas of application since I started using this, I believe the ingredients overall are good for the skin and for anti-aging and I will continue to use.

Great face cream

This is a great product for anyone who is new to retinals! I enjoyed this product, and it will be a solid part of my weekly routine going forward. One thing to note about this product is that you should probably only use it a couple nights a week if you are new to this type of product. I have been using retinoids for a while, and I won’t even use them more than a couple times a week just to avoid issues. I thought this one was very gentle. Other ingredients that I love include niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. There are a few more that I like to see also, such as peptides and ceramides. I’m not super familiar with the liposome concept, but after doing a little research, I’m glad it’s in this product. I was interested to see when I opened the package that the seals were not great. The box can open it both ends, but only one end had a sticker over it. There was no wrap on the outer box or on the tube itself. There was no seal under the cap either. I’m not super concerned about it, but it might be an issue for others. I was also interested to see that the formula is an orangey yellow. I squeezed about a dime size onto the tips of my fingers and smooth them into my face. Like I said, it seemed very gentle and hydrating. As far as the tightening claims, I’m really not sure. I didn’t really notice anything like that, but I have a feeling this refers more to long-term use and visual tightening, not the type of tightening that you can feel right away. Overall, I am really enjoying this addition to my weekly routine. Highly recommend!

Sophisticatedly Formulated 0.12% Retinal Cream, Elegant Texture & Finish, Great Supporters

Given retinoids are the skincare ingredient with the most evidence for anti-aging benefits used topically, I try to always have them on board. That said, some days my combo skin that is prone to both congestion and reactivity can struggle with stronger Rx forms and I need to back off. Other times I intentionally back down to slightly less irritating forms because I have recently undergone microneedle or laser treatments. In those times, in those weeks I love to have more gentle options on board to keep the retinization process active just at a slower, more gentle pace, and this Mixsoon Retinal NMN Tightening Shot Cream fits that slot really nicely. This is a lightweight thin yellow cream that spreads with a nice slip and settles into a soft silky finish from the dimethicone and light emollients. I love how the finish feels soft, cushioned and very moisturizing without feeling heavy or greasy. I have not experienced any congestion nor irritation using this on nights I am skipping my stronger retinoid and it has paired into my nightly routine flawlessly. It layers well with my other skincare without creating pilling or texture issues and overall has felt only calming in the first week of use.Retinal is the lead active here and found at 1,200 ppm or 0.12%, which is a real, usable dose yet that is much gentler than prescription strengths retinoids but also on the higher end for over the counter retinal products which is exactly what I look for. Retinal (with an "A") converts more efficiently than retinol (with an "O" ) to support cell turnover and collagen for a smoother look with less irritation risk than tretinoin. Niacinamide sits high in this formula (1,000ppm) and offers the calming, pore refining, barrier support my skin does well with. NMN, glutathione, acetyl hexapeptide-8 & oligopeptide-91 (a botulinum-like peptide), PDRN, ceramide NP, panthenol and adenosine are also all included here to further assist with numerous aspects that support my anti aging goals including firming repair, energy support and calming barrier support. This includes multiple forms of hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed, acetylated, and crosspolymer) for nice multi level hydration. Dimethicone is what creates the soft, lightly more silky cushioned feel and this is a fragrance free, alcohol free formula. This is an impressively well formulated cream that makes for a solid option for those looking for a OTC retinal formula on the higher 0.12% end. This is a smaller 0.67oz tube but only a little is needed and I do feel this offers terrific value.Even though this is a more gentle than prescription strength retinoids, for anyone new to retinoids I still recommend introducing this slowly at first, starting with every 3-4 nights and gradually working up to nightly use. This has felt very well suited for my combination skin that can handle a mild retinoid, and I look forward to seeing how it performs with longer use.

Excellent

This is an awesome skincare routine add-on. There are numerous ingredients in this cream shot that benefit multiple areas or skin concern (beyond just fine lines). All of the ingredients are ones that benefit your skin regardless, so you’re not trading beauty in exchange for damaging your skin, you’re making look, feel, and BE healthier. The strong retinal (encapsulated so it’s delivered effectively but gently) helps to slough off dead skin that contributes to lines and wrinkles and reveals younger, smoother skin underneath. The peptides and NMN aid in skin improvement and help with elasticity and Niacinamide is in almost everything these days due to its proven benefits and effectiveness with regard to blemish-prone skin as well as helping to balance texture and tone, aiding with blotchiness. This cream/ointment comes in a small tube but packs a punch and a little goes a long way. It doesn’t need to spread all over your face just dabbed where wrinkles and enlarged pores are a concern. Overall it’s very effective and has become an essential in my routine.

Gentle and hydrating around my eyes.

I recently reintroduced tretinoin after taking several months off, and the area around my eyes hasn’t been tolerating it as well as the rest of my face and neck. I still wanted to use a retinoid there, and I’ve found retinal/retinaldehyde gentle in the past. I’ve also had good experiences with mixsoon over the past couple of years, so I wanted to try this treatment for my eye area. This is a lightweight cream with little orange “glow capsules” described as containing astaxanthin and glutathione. They break apart quickly and blend right in with the cream. There’s no noticeable scent, and I don’t see any added fragrance listed. The cream glides easily across my skin, so I don’t need much, and it sinks in quickly with a soft, almost powdery finish. For me, this is more hydrating than moisturizing. That isn’t a drawback since I don’t prefer heavy eye creams and primarily look for hydration in that area. I’ve been applying it at night, and despite my eye area not tolerating tretinoin or even some other retinol products well, I haven’t experienced irritation with this. It also layers well with my other products, without pilling whether I apply them underneath or over it.While it’s too soon to judge long-term results, I’ve been happy with how this feels and layers with my other products. I’m also only using this around my eyes, so I can’t speak to how it feels on the rest of my face. So far, though, it’s been comfortable enough for nightly use. Given the overall formula, including NMN, glutathione, and niacinamide, I think the price is reasonable, and I’m pleased with it so far.

Retinal NMN Cream & Precision Aging Care

This targeted treatment focuses on improving skin elasticity and smoothing fine lines using a concentrated active blend. It pairs retinal with NMN, PDRN and niacinamide to encourage cellular turnover while brightening tone. The formula also incorporates glutathione, ceramide NP and squalane alongside hyaluronic acid to help maintain barrier health. The cream has a vibrant bright yellow tint characteristic of potent retinal formulations. The texture feels smooth and lotion like and it glides across the skin with ease while absorbing quickly without leaving a heavy residue behind.Because of the retinal content, it is best suited for the evening. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated and has become a part of my targeted anti aging night time regimen.

This is a wait and see product.

As a 45-year-old, I wish I could just easily accept my wrinkles and graying hair, but my brain simply hasn't caught up to the fact that I'm getting older.I recently incorporated this Mixsoon Retinal NMN Tightening Shot Cream into my routine. When you squeeze it out, it is a very vibrant, bright yellow color—which I hear is pretty typical for retinal products. Keep in mind that this is strictly a spot treatment designed for targeted problem areas only. On my very first try, I went slathered it all over my face before actually stopping to read the directions.I won't bore you by listing every ingredient you can already read on the tube, but I am honestly unsure if this product single-handedly does what you'd expect. However, my son—who constantly loves to remind me that I'm old—randomly told me the other day that I looked 30 again. Was it makeup, a different step in my routine, good lighting, or this spot cream? I honestly don't know yet, and I'll have to experiment by taking a few things out of my rotation to know for sure.I recently switched over to using K-beauty products, so perhaps that overall combination is making a real difference too. Either way, I was absolutely overjoyed by the compliment, and I'm definitely sticking with it to see how my skin continues to respond

A Surprisingly Good Retinal Cream - Just Keep Expectations in Perspective

I use prescription retinoids, so whenever I try an over-the-counter retinal product, I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. I'm not looking for a miracle, and I'm certainly not expecting a cosmetic cream to outperform a prescription. What I am looking for is a well-formulated product that can help improve skin texture, support healthy aging, and deliver some of the benefits of vitamin A without unnecessarily irritating my skin. This Mixsoon Retinal NMN Tightening Shot Cream is actually pretty good!At 53, with post-menopausal, dry, mature skin, I'm particularly conscious of how retinoid products are formulated. Retinal is an effective ingredient, but simply putting it into a cream doesn't automatically make that cream good. The supporting ingredients matter, especially when your skin is already prone to dryness.First, a little perspective on the retinal itself.Retinaldehyde, commonly called retinal, is a vitamin A derivative that requires one conversion step in the skin to become retinoic acid, the biologically active form. Retinol requires two conversions. That doesn't automatically mean every retinal product is stronger than every retinol product, because concentration, stability, delivery, and the overall formulation all influence performance.Mixsoon advertises 1,200 ppm retinal, which translates to approximately 0.12%, assuming that figure refers to the retinal itself. That's a meaningful concentration for a cosmetic product, although it doesn't make it equivalent to prescription tretinoin or tazarotene.I also like that Mixsoon uses liposomal delivery technology. Retinal is notoriously sensitive to light, oxygen, and formulation conditions, so stabilization is important. Liposomal systems can help protect certain ingredients and influence how they're delivered, although the actual performance depends on the specific technology used. The formula also contains 5% niacinamide, which is one of my favorite supporting ingredients in skincare. Niacinamide can help improve uneven skin tone, support the skin barrier, regulate excess oil, and gradually improve the appearance of pores. At 5%, it's present at a concentration commonly used in skincare research, rather than being included simply to make the ingredient list look more interesting. For mature skin, I think that combination makes sense. Retinal addresses texture and visible signs of aging over time, while niacinamide provides additional support for the barrier and overall skin appearance. What I particularly like about the ingredient list is that Mixsoon didn't stop there. There are several forms of hyaluronic acid, including sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid. These are humectants that help attract and retain moisture, which is especially welcome in a retinoid formula. There's also ceramide NP, cholesterol, hydrogenated lecithin, panthenol, and squalane. These ingredients help support the skin's moisture barrier and reduce the dry, uncomfortable feeling that can accompany retinoid use.And that matters to me. I have absolutely no interest in sacrificing my skin barrier for the sake of using another active ingredient. The formula also includes peptides, including acetyl hexapeptide-8, along with sodium DNA (PDRN), glutathione, ubiquinone, and astaxanthin. These are interesting additions, although I think it's important to keep expectations realistic. Peptides may provide supplementary cosmetic benefits, but they don't replace the established effects of retinoids. Likewise, topical PDRN is an emerging skincare ingredient, and the evidence for its anti-aging benefits in finished cosmetic creams is considerably more limited than the evidence supporting retinoids.NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, is another ingredient attracting attention because of its relationship to NAD+ metabolism. It's an interesting area of research, but I wouldn't purchase this cream expecting topical NMN to reverse cellular aging. We simply don't have sufficient clinical evidence to make those claims. For me, the retinal and niacinamide are the main attractions. Everything else is supporting the formula. As far as the actual product goes, I like that it feels more like a moisturizing treatment cream than an aggressive retinoid product. The combination of emollients, humectants, and barrier-supporting ingredients makes sense for dry skin, and the small, narrow-nozzle tube is practical for dispensing controlled amounts without repeatedly exposing the entire formula to air.I also appreciate that the ingredient list doesn't include added fragrance, which is a plus when using a product that already contains a potentially irritating active ingredient. Now, about the tightening claims. No, this isn't going to lift sagging jowls, eliminate deep wrinkles, or give you the results of an in-office procedure. Retinal can gradually improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture, and some visible signs of photoaging with consistent use. But meani...

Silky, Hydrating Retinal Treatment That's Gentle on My Sensitive Skin

I've been introducing retinal into my skincare routine very gradually because my skin can be quite sensitive, and so far, I'm really impressed with this cream. Unlike a traditional full-face treatment, this is designed to be applied selectively to areas of concern, such as crow's feet, marionette lines, and other fine lines. The cream itself is absolutely lovely. It's bright yellow, silky, smooth, and incredibly hydrating. It leaves my skin feeling exceptionally soft with a beautiful dewy finish. There's a slight initial stickiness, but it absorbs nicely, and there's absolutely no fragrance.I've been using it just a few nights a week, applying a small amount as the final step in my skincare routine. So far, I've experienced no redness or irritation whatsoever. I also appreciate the combination of retinal, 5% niacinamide, PDRN, NMN, and peptides, which makes this an interesting multifunctional formula. It's too early to judge its long-term effects on wrinkles or firmness, but the immediate hydration does make my fine lines appear a little less pronounced. At around $25 for 20 mL, it's not inexpensive, particularly for such a small tube, but considering it's a targeted treatment, I find the price reasonable.Overall, this has been a wonderful introduction to retinal for my sensitive skin. I'm very pleased with the formulation and look forward to seeing whether continued use produces more noticeable improvements in my fine lines and skin texture.

Good results

I've always had good experiences with mixsoon, and this product was no exception in terms of results. I've noticed the skin on my forehead looks a little firmer, and my overall complexion is brighter with a smoother texture. The cream is yellow, has very little noticeable scent, and does leave a bit of shine on the skin.My one limitation is that I couldn't use it on the areas of my cheeks affected by rosacea. The PDRN was too irritating there, so I limited application to my forehead, crow's feet, nasolabial folds, and jawline. There is a similar product I can tolerate on my rosacea-prone skin, so I'm not sure I'd repurchase this one for myself. However, the results from this formula have been noticeably better. If skin sensitivity isn't an issue, I'd definitely lean toward this one.

Mixsoon knocks it outta the park again!

First off, I love this brand—I have their bean cream moisturizer in my bathroom, purse, and desk at work and I’m constantly rebuying their products, so having this appear on Vine was an instant YES! It goes on so smoothly and sinks in like a dream, it’s a nice rich yellow (a key for good retinal products) and it even has little encapsulated bits in it which I didn’t realize! Also causes absolutely zero sensitivity or stinging. Such a total win; it came in just in time for it to go straight into my purse for vacation!

Easy to work into my nighttime skincare routine

I use quite a few Korean skincare products and have used mixsoon before, so I was interested in trying the Retinal NMN Tightening Shot Cream. Since this contains retinal, I added it to my nighttime routine gradually rather than immediately using it every night. I like that the formula also includes niacinamide, PDRN and peptides, which are ingredients I already use in other skincare products. The cream spreads easily, and I only need a small amount for my face, which is helpful since the tube is just 20ml. I keep the rest of my routine fairly simple on nights when I use this and follow with moisturizer if my skin needs more hydration. I haven’t used the mixsoon cream long enough to judge changes in the appearance of fine lines or pores, but so far it has been easy to incorporate into my routine.

A Lightweight K-Beauty Eye Cream

A K-beauty product with a beautiful formula for the price! I really like how lightweight this cream feels, especially for the eye area. It moisturizes without feeling too heavy or greasy, which is exactly what I look for in an eye cream.Since it contains a retinol ingredient and niacinamide, I recommend starting slowly, especially if you have sensitive skin like mine. I’m introducing it gradually to see how my skin tolerates it.Anti-aging results take time, so I can’t comment much on its long-term effectiveness yet since this is a new addition to my routine. However, considering the price, I think this cream is getting a lot of things right: a thoughtful formula, a lightweight texture, and ingredients that target signs of aging without feeling overly rich around the eyes.

nice cream with quality ingredients

This is another nice cream from a brand I have used and trust. The cream goes on smooth, feels lightweight, and absorbs well without leaving a greasy feeling. I also like the ingredient list with retinal, niacinamide, peptides, and PDRN.It is still too soon to tell what kind of results I will get, but so far I am liking it. My skin feels nice after using it, and I have not had any irritation. The price is fair for the ingredients it has, and I am happy with it so far.

Follow instructions on Amazon, not box. Despite great brand/ingredients, risky for sensitive skin!!

I am a big fan of Korean skincare, and have used - and liked - Mixsoon products before. I have very sensitive, reactive, skin. I thought I had identified my common triggers (high dose vitamin C products, usually). I have successfully used products containing both retinol and retinal, and appreciate the anti-aging benefits of these products. Therefore, I did not think I would have any trouble with this product, but I was quite wrong. Using this triggered an almost instantaneous bad reaction in my skin, which I am still dealing with two days later. Hindsight is always 20-20, but I wish I had read the Amazon description page of this product rather than relying on the limited information on the box. The information on the box made it sound to me like this was a normal night cream when in fact it is designed for limited targeted application. Perhaps if I had used it as intended I wouldn't be struggling right now. Despite my very negative experience with this cream, I give it four stars because it does contain some great anti-aging and moisturizing ingredients and my experience with Mixsoon has always been positive. Considering the ingredients, and the intended targeted application for which this is designed, I think the cream is fairly priced at $25. But, it is certainly not for everyone.

Highly hydrating and gentle on skin

This is a review for mixsoon Retinal NMN Tightening Shot Cream, which is made in Korea. It is a bright yellow gel cream that absorbs quickly into my skin without needing a lot of rubbing. I did not notice any scent, which is great because I use this under my eyes and on the eyelids too.It is gentle on my skin and did not cause any pilling or irritation. I cannot speak on the effectiveness of the retinal and tightening as it takes a few weeks to see results like this. I did notice the hydration in about 3 days though but that takes a lot less time.
