NEW FAVORITE SERUM!!! Ferment + Copper Tripeptide

I’ve been a big fan of Mixsoon’s Bean Essence since introduced to it a few months ago but Mixsoon has been a longtime favorite company of mine because of how well they do ferments in general. And my skin LOVES ferments! When I saw Mixsoon had a serum that had copper tripeptide added to a similar bean ferment serum I had a strong feeling it would be a home run for my over 40 combination, reactive, rosacea prone skin. And it has! This is a lightweight serum that feels light, refreshing yet comforting on the skin as it glides on with a very nice slip. If you are familiar with the "stretchy" nature of bean ferments you will recognize such here yet this serum feels incredibly silky on the skin and not at all sticky. The initial finish is that of a refined, silky soft quality though after about 15 seconds it absorbs cleanly leaving only a well hydrated, very soft natural skin finish that lacks any greasiness or tackiness. I live where it is very hot and humid and this is a serum that offers terrific soothing hydration to my skin without ever feeling heavy.I love how calming and barrier supportive this whole formula feels and love the firming aspects that the copper ferment and copper tripeptide adds. The signature Mixsoon bean/soy/pear/pomegranate/barley microbiome friendly ferments sit underneath everything in this formula and feel just as soothing to my skin here as they do in the dedicated bean essence formula. This contains niacinamide for barrier support that helps keep my redness in check, while copper tripeptide and Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment sit equally high in the list to deliver my skin nice assistance with both repair and firming without any irritation, only further calming. The calming support doesn't end there though; allantoin, adenosine, Coptis Japonica root extract and chamomile flower oil round out this serum with further soothing barrier support that my occasionally reactive skin visibly appreciates. This serum contains a touch of lightweight emollients that are barrier friendly as well, and further explain how hydrating and silky soft this serum leaves my skin. One important note: the copper visibly settles at the top of the bottle (blue), so you do need to shake it well before every use or you won’t get an even dose. This gentle formula is fragrance free and I have not experienced any stinging nor irritation with this serum, even using it on days my skin felt more sensitive. It layers nicely under moisturizer or sunscreen, just watch layering anything with copper in with active/ pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) in the same routine. This really is a multitasking serum that feels like it covers what might otherwise require 3 different formulas to get in.I think this is a serum everyone would benefit from, but especially those with more sensitive or reactive tendencies that need calm barrier support & are looking to add copper peptide into their routine.

Shake It Up for Lightweight Hydration and Copper Peptide Care

I've used mixsoon's Bean Essence before and really liked its lightweight feel, so I was excited to try this version combining fermented bean ingredients with copper peptides. This is a dual-phase serum, and when the bottle sits for a while you can very clearly see the separation—the blue layer forms a distinct line at the top. You definitely need to shake, shake, shake the heck out of it before applying to get everything thoroughly mixed. I actually like being able to see the two phases because there's no forgetting that step.Once mixed, the serum itself is quite thin and watery. It glides over the skin easily, and I only need a small amount to cover a fairly large area. I've been using it primarily on my neck, which is where I'm most interested in firming and maintaining elasticity. It does feel slightly sticky immediately after application, but that disappears as I pat it into my skin. Once absorbed, it dries down beautifully with no noticeable residue. It feels cooling, soothing and hydrating, and it layers easily with the rest of my skincare without feeling like I've added yet another product—which, considering the number of things I routinely put on my face and neck, is an accomplishment. The formula includes Copper Tripeptide-1, fermented bean complex and 2% niacinamide, so I like the combination of ingredients for supporting hydrated, healthy-looking skin. Can I say that my neck suddenly looks 20 years younger? Sadly, no. Skincare continues to refuse to perform actual witchcraft. Firming is something I'd expect to evaluate with consistent use over time anyway. What I can say now is that my skin feels soft, hydrated and comfortable when I use it, and the serum is extremely easy to incorporate into my regular routine. So far, I'm really enjoying it. It's an interesting upgrade to a bean-based formula I already liked, with a lightweight texture that makes consistent use very easy

Very hydrating, gel like consistency, easy to apply, soaks in nicely

This is such a great brand and I love everything I have tried from them. This serum goes on so nicely, and soaks in very well. It has a slight gel like consistency that makes it easy to handle, some are just too watery but this one is not. It pairs well with other skincare, makeup, and sunscreen. I haven't had any pilling but I do make sure I give it a few minutes to soak in completely. No detected scents, and no irritation. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of what I found by looking closer at the ingredients. This is marketed as a peptide serum, and it does have peptides in it, but it is a very small amount. This is more geared towards hydration and barrier support, which is great and it does fully do that, but if you are looking for something with peptides leading in the front, this is not for you. I have aging skin and this definitely helps add another layer of well needed deep hydration and I will continue to use it for that.

Good Serum, Just Not the Copper Peptide Powerhouse the Name Suggests

I went into this expecting a copper peptide serum, and after using it for a while, I think that description oversells what the formula actually is. I do like the serum. My skin looks hydrated, feels comfortable, and gets a really nice glow from it. But when I looked more closely at the ingredient list, I realized the strongest parts of this formula are really hydration, barrier support, and fermented ingredients rather than copper peptides.I’m 53 with post-menopausal, dry, mature skin, so hydration and barrier support matter a lot to me. This does very well in that area. The texture is lightweight, spreads easily, absorbs without leaving a tacky film, and doesn't pill under moisturizer or sunscreen. There is no noticeable fragrance, and I haven't had any irritation from it. It also layers well with more complicated routines, which matters to me because I rarely use just one serum and call it a day.The ingredient list is actually pretty good. Niacinamide is fairly high in the formula and can help support the skin barrier, reduce water loss, and improve the look of uneven tone over time. Glycerin, propanediol, sodium hyaluronate, trehalose, and sorbitol all contribute to hydration by helping attract and retain water in the skin. That's probably a big part of why my skin looks plumper and more luminous after using this. There are also several fermented ingredients, including Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment, pear ferment, pomegranate ferment, soybean ferment, and barley ferment. Fermented skincare ingredients can provide amino acids, antioxidants, and other skin-conditioning compounds, and I think they help explain why this feels like more than a basic hyaluronic acid serum. There are also some nice supporting ingredients. Allantoin helps calm and soothe. Adenosine is commonly used in Korean skincare for smoothing and anti-aging support. Chamomile flower oil adds another soothing component, while sunflower seed oil gives the formula a little more softness without making it feel heavy. Now for the part that keeps this at four stars. The bottle says 11% Bean Copper Complex, which sounds like this contains a substantial amount of copper peptide. But that 11% refers to a blend or complex, not 11% pure copper peptide. The actual Copper Tripeptide-1 appears at the very end of the ingredient list. The Korean labeling on the box also appears to list Copper Tripeptide-1 at 0.5 ppm, which is an extremely small amount. That doesn't make the ingredient useless, and ingredient placement alone doesn't tell us everything about efficacy, but I would not buy this expecting the type of copper peptide treatment you would get from a product where GHK-Cu is one of the primary actives. The branding makes copper peptide sound like the star when, based on the formula, it's more like a supporting character. So who do I think this is good for? Someone with dry, dehydrated, normal, or mature skin who wants a comfortable daily serum that gives hydration, some barrier support, and a healthy-looking glow without stickiness. It would also work well for someone who wants to try fermented skincare but doesn't want a heavy essence.Who might be disappointed? Anyone specifically looking for a serious copper peptide serum for firmness, wrinkles, or skin remodeling. If copper peptides are the reason you're buying it, I would look at the ingredient list carefully before deciding.I actually like using this serum quite a bit. My skin feels hydrated, it looks glowy, it behaves well with everything I put over it, and the formula has more going for it than I initially expected. I just think the name and front-of-bottle claims make it sound much more copper-peptide-focused than it really is.

Es fantástico!

Me encanta!

Good serum

The bottle shows a blue oil layer sitting on top of a clear liquid layer, so it looks pretty cool right on the counter. You just shake it up to mix the two layers together, and the dropper pulls up a light blue liquid that goes on smooth. It sinks into the skin pretty fast without feeling greasy or heavy, leaving a nice light moisture behind. It does a solid job soothing dry spots, though you won't see any real firming right away—that takes a few weeks of daily use. Since it's a small 30ml bottle, you'll go through it kind of quick if you use it morning and night. It combines two serum steps into one easy step, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for something like this.

Anti-aging peptide version of the famous bean serum!

Mixsoon Bean Copper Peptide Firming Serum is a lightweight and hydrating peptide serum featuring their signature fruit and ferment blend plus copper ferment and Copper Tripeptide-1. It also includes niacinamide, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, trehalose, allantoin and adenosine which provide additional barrier, hydration and soothing support. The copper ferment is pretty early on in the ingredient list so there is probably a good amount included but the actual copper peptide is the last ingredient, so I'm not sure how much there is of that.If you are familiar with Mixsoon and already loa fan of the fermented bean ingredients, I feel like this serum is the perfect peptide anti-aging version of their famous bean serum. At $22 for 1 oz, though, it's not an expensive serum. It's affordable enough for folks new to copper peptides to try!

My Skin Feels So Soft and Hydrated

I’ve been really enjoying this serum as part of my skincare routine. The dual-phase formula feels lightweight and comfortable on my skin, and after mixing it well, it applies smoothly and absorbs nicely without leaving a heavy or sticky feeling.I especially like how hydrated and soft my skin feels after using it. It contains copper peptides, and I appreciate having a serum like this in my routine when I want my skin to look smoother, more refreshed, and well cared for. It layers nicely with my other skincare products and works well both in the morning and at night. The formula feels gentle on my skin, and a small amount is enough for my face and neck. I also really like the packaging and the quality of the product. After using it consistently, it has definitely become one of the serums I enjoy reaching for. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking to add a hydrating peptide serum to their skincare routine.

Another winner from Mixsoon

I love Mixsoon products, so I was excited to try the Bean Copper Peptide Firming Serum, but also a lttle apprehensive. I'm in my early 50s and have dry, sensitive skin with mild rosacea, which is why I was nervous. I was afraid a copper peptide serum could irritate my skin. This one did not, but I suspect the reason is why others may give this product a lesser review. This is not pure copper peptides; it's a blend, and copper tripeptide-1 comes at the bottom of the ingredient list, which means there isn't much of it. For someone like me, who needs a mild copper peptide serum, this is great. For those looking for more powerful actives, this is not so great.I also appreciate the other ingredients in this serum. It's a high quality ingredient list, as I would expect from mixsoon, with ingredients focused on moisturizing, soothing, and anti-aging. Particular standouts for my skin here are niacinamide, propanediol, allantoin, and multiple fermented ingredients. There is no fragrance. This is a lightweight serum that spreads easily and absorbs quickly, without any stickiness. I have not had any issues with it pilling under my other skincare or makeup, and it leaves my skin looking dewy and plumped. It's very effective for my purposes, and at this price point, I think it offers great value for the money.

More about hydration than anti-aging, pleasant to use

I really like Mixsoon products (in particular their original bean serum) so I was super excited to try this copper peptide formulation. It’s a bi-phase serum so you must shake it up first. I forgot to do this the first time and it felt more sticky. The next time I remembered to shake it and it felt smoother and nicer. It feels very hydrating, but there’s something I found in my ingredient research: this serum is more targeted towards hydration and skin repair than anti-aging, as the copper peptides name led me to believe. The copper peptides are listed at 11% but there’s one important distinction: “copper ferment” isn’t the same thing as having a high concentration of free Copper Tripeptide-1. The formula does contain actual Copper Tripeptide-1, but because it’s near the bottom of the INCI list, I wouldn’t buy this specifically expecting it to perform like a concentrated copper-peptide treatment. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is an effective hydrating and barrier repair serum and a mild anti-aging treatment despite this but I felt a bit misled thinking it was a concentrated copper tripeptide serum. It is fragrance-free as far as I could tell. It also didn’t seem to have that strange fishy smell that copper peptide serums often have.At $20 I still think it’s a pretty good value! Here’s an active ingredient breakdown:* Copper Tripeptide-1 — the key anti-aging peptide. It may support skin repair processes and help improve the appearance of firmness and fine lines over time. It’s listed near the very end, so the actual concentration is likely relatively low, but that’s normal for peptides.* Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment — another copper-containing ferment and likely a major part of the product’s “bean & copper” concept. The label says the Bean & Copper Peptide Complex is 11% including solvents, so that does not mean 11% pure copper peptide.* Niacinamide — fairly high in the list, suggesting it’s one of the more substantial actives. Useful for barrier support, uneven tone, oil regulation, and overall skin texture.* Sodium Hyaluronate, glycerin, sorbitol and trehalose — a nice collection of humectants for hydration and plumping.* Allantoin — soothing and helpful for reducing the feel of irritation.* Adenosine — another anti-aging ingredient with evidence for helping improve the appearance of fine lines.* Fermented ingredients — pear, pomegranate, soybean, barley and lactobacillus/saccharomyces ferments provide antioxidants and skin-conditioning components.
